I enjoy hearing from readers of all ages, especially ones who plan to buy cases of books to give away as gifts. (They make lovely gifts! Each and every one of them!)

If you have questions, comments, or suggestions, e-mail me. I'll respond as quickly as possible, although my idea of quickly may not be the same as yours.

You can also hang out with me on Facebook, where I am likely to answer you more quickly if you post on my Wall.

Things to remember when contacting me directly:

v I cry easily, so please be kind.

v Do not ask me to do your homework, even if it's about writing. Years from now, you'll be happy you did it yourself. Sounds crazy, I know, but it's true.

v I cannot look at your book idea or critique your manuscript. Instead, I suggest that you join a local writing group. They will give you excellent feedback and encouragement. Joining a writers' group was one of the best things I ever did. Your library and local bookstores can usually tell you how to get in touch with a group. There are also many wonderful writing groups online.

v Be aware that if you say very nice things about me, I may share them by posting them here.

v If you send me letters or drawings through snail mail, they cannot be returned.

v If you are under 14, always tell your folks or your teacher when e-mailing anyone, including me.
